On Her Way Home
The screeching of the metals pierced through her ears as the train slowly went down to a full stop. She stepped inside the clanking doors to find out that the compartment was deserted except for an ominous looking man and a sleeping woman, who are both occupying the seats on the opposite sides of the car. She decided to take the space near the door, in front of the dozing woman. At the far end of her seat sat down the man. He looked like he was on his mid 30's and his clothes were worn out.
She suddenly felt the exhaustion take over her body and her eyes became heavy. She leaned against the headrest and slowly closed her eyes. It was such a relief feeling the cushion of the seat as if it was giving her a massage. Just when she was about to fall asleep, the car jolted and she was brought back to her consciousness. She heaved a deep sigh as her head looked around and noticed that the man seemed to move closer to her. She shoved the thought out of her mind and decided to shut her eyes once again. At this moment, it's not the car that startled her but the subtle hint of movement from the cushion that took her back to her senses. She took out her phone and secretly looked at the man through the reflection. This time, the man was about five feet away from her and gave her a menacing grin. Things popped out from her mind but she did her best to disregard all of it and to keep herself calm. Hope rushed into her when she saw the next station coming closer. The familiar screeching came again and the train stopped. She hurriedly got on her feet and marched out from the compartment. Her footsteps echoed across the empty train station. The moment she thought she was far enough from her intruder, she heard footsteps that seemed to follow her and fear suddenly hit her like a gunshot. She looked back above her shoulder and saw the man in her peripheral vision. Her pace ratcheted up like a mouse running away from its predator. Her stomach felt sharp when the man behind her started to run towards her. Her feet went into leaping strides and she realized it was too late. The man dragged her into the corner of the subway station and told her to calm down. She tried her best to gain her freedom from the grasp of the man but to no avail. The man was too strong, too strong for her to fight against. She gave up and tried her best to hush herself.
Words came out from the man's mouth and told her something that she will never forget. The woman on the train was just pretending to be dozing. The woman was actually hiding something inside her bag and the man found it suspicious. The man then thanked her for entering the train before something bad might happen to him. She was still confused of what was happening when she looked back to the train. The woman inside stood up and walked towards the doorway and when she was about to step outside the machines prompted the doors to close. The woman inside looked at them behind the glass window. On her hand was a knife and a smile formed on her face as if she was telling them that they got their luck while she was dormant. The train once again moved away but the woman's grinning stare towards them lingered until the darkness of the subway tunnel completely ate the train away.

Philippines' 16th Premier
The 16th president of the Philippines is a man of action. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is a man with one word ever since when he was still the humble mayor of Davao City. He has a strong will and has an incontestable hatred for criminality. He did wonderful in making Davao City a livable place. In fact, it has one of the lowest criminality rates in the nation and even made into the top safest cities in the world. Davao is a great example of city with impressive leadership and control. We can see what a place will become if the leaders are free from corruption and graft.
Now that the mayor of Davao City has taken the govern over the Philippines, the hope of the Filipinos should be escalated. Filipinos should unite and help our president make Philippines a better country, a country we desire to live in.

With these matters, I am hoping that all of us will help each other in making our establishment a better place. Thank you very much.
